Keep a supply kit in your car that includes:
- Blankets or sleeping bags
- Booster cables, flares, and triangle reflectors

- Extra mittens/gloves, warm socks, caps, and rain gear

- Flashlight with extra batteries
- Maps
- Non-perishable foods/bottled water
