Governor Reynolds announces approval of Presidential Disaster Declaration

DES MOINES— Today, Governor Kim Reynolds announced that President Trump has approved Iowa’s request for a Presidential Disaster Declaration for Iowa counties that sustained significant damage from severe weather, heavy rainfall, and flash flooding between July 1 and July 4, 2026. The declaration activates the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance Program for Jasper, Polk, Story, and Warren counties.
