The Jasper County Emergency Management Commission has received a $1,000 grant from the Iowa Communities Assurance Pool (ICAP) to purchase Stop the Bleed Kits to be placed in County buildings.
The ICAP Grant, a special initiative in celebration of the Pool’s 30th Anniversary, provides up to $1,000 per member for the purchase of select loss/control and/or risk management items. Such items, include, but are not limited to:
- Automated External Defibrillators (2018 award purchased these)
- Fire Extinguishers
- Exit Signage
- Approved Playground Surface Materials
Jasper County Emergency Management Commission submitted an application for the grant in January, and was recently awarded $1,000 from the Pool. The member used the funds to purchase Stop the Bleed Kits.
ICAP was formed in 1986 as a group self-insurance program for Iowa public entities. The member-owned Pool provides property and casualty coverage, risk-sharing facilities and risk-management services to its members.
